Cafuné is a Brazilian Bistro offering a unique dining experience away from the large chain restaurants that have taken over Toronto.
We had the chance to try Cafuné recently and quickly thought that this would be great place for a casual intimate dinner, a place for friends to be able to hear each other over some great flavours, or just a quick cup of real Brazilian coffee without the rush of downtown cafés.
Cafuné has a seasonal menu that brings fresh Brazilian flavours, and serves them in style.
This isn't a tourist oriented bulk BBQ meat on a stick Brazilian Restaurant. Cafuné is an authentic brazilian restaurant that has appetizers like fresh baked Pão de Queijo, and the Piri Piri Sausages, to a well the well presented Cafuné Salad -- a field tomato with bocconcini, and garnished with fresh basil cashew pesto.
Who knew you could find a Lebanese-inspired contribution to Brazilian cuisine? Try the Esfiha, a much tastier and flaky version of an empanada, stuffed with ground beef, onions, tomatoes, and fresh mint. The Cafuné Chicken & Prawns, complete with light coconut milk, chili peppers and basmati rice; would also be a good choice.
Cafuné is located at 194A Carlton Street, Toronto and can be reached at (647) 748-7884.
Thursday nights enjoy the free Brazilian Jazz or Bassa Nova live bands between 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
Just mention HotTorontoDeals to your server, when ordering at least two main dishes and get two free cups of the great Brazilian coffee!
Free WiFi for the working lunch and coffee crowd. Don't forget to try Brazil's popular soft-drink, Guarana.
Check out the Cafune.ca website for details on the menu, location map, coffee and art offerings.
From March 11th to March 24th, just show the coupon below when ordering any regular meal combo and get a free upgrade to a Supreme Combo (Fries Supreme and 20oz. drink).

The third annual Culture Days weekend will take place September 28th to the 30th, and will feature thousands of free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to discover the world of artists, historians, architects, curators, designers and other creative people within their communities.
Culture Days was created in 2010 as a collaborative, coast-to-coast volunteer movement to raise awareness and participation of Canadians in the field of arts and culture.
Culture Days activities are displayed on the official event website at culturedays.ca, but check back often as new activities are being added every day. All Culture Days activities must meet the following basic criteria: a free event, open to the public, that involves audience participation or reveals a behind-the-scenes aspect to give the public a better understanding of the inner world of arts and culture.
In order to access a comprehensive summary of activities scheduled for your neighbourhood, simply go to the "Find Activities" section of the Culture Days website (http://www.culturedays.ca/en/2012-activities) and type in your postal code before clicking on "View Results Listing." In the Toronto area, activities include workshops on Chinese calligraphy, wire sculpture and weaving, modern guitar, Korean dance and drum, belly dancing, samba drumming, film making and ballet, as well as free admission to several museums and galleries. Please note that some activities require advance registration so plan your Culture days weekend now!!!
