The Taste of the Danforth : 2011 Toronto Greek Festival -- Celebrating the Danforth & Greek Culture (August 5th to 7th)

 

 The 18^th annual Pilaros Taste of the Danforth street festival runs from Friday, August 5^th to Sunday, August 7^th, 2011 on Danforth Avenue in downtown Toronto.  The festival combines the best of Greek culture with a variety of family-friendly events, including:

• Broadway-style theatrical performances, including the Celebrity Stage with FREE live performances from members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Second City plus Stage West will have a tribute to Elvis and Elton John.
• Traditional Greek dancers, vocalists and musician - meet the stars of "So Yo Think You Can Dance Canada^TM"
• Sporting activities including climbing walls and volleyball courts, plus prizes from the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto FC!
• Kids' Fun Zone with the Centre of Gravity Circus Training Studio and mini-Olympiada
• Beer gardens and a wine and spirits garden
• Street vendors offering up the finest in Greek and international cuisine with loads of FREE samples....its all about the Food! And More Food!
